Another day passes, people scurrying about after hints and clues, or hurrying to and fro with decorations in their arms. You pass quickly by the amphitheater, almost beyond it before you realize what’s amiss. Stopping and looking inwards, you examine the Wishing Tree. The Tree looks much nicer now, coated in streamers and lights and all sorts of merriness. It still seems withered, branches thin and gnarled, the ends bowing slightly under even the lighter weight of the ornaments covering them. But was it always so…purple?
You step further inside, taking a closer look at the Tree, bark now stained a dark violet. Normally this would be a welcome change from the dingy grey that had coated the tree before, but something in the back of your mind suggests that this is more than mere decoration, and you’d swear that the branches are drooping further than they were when you entered. Something needs to be done if you want the tree to survive till the festival’s end!
Stepping in close to the tree, you test one of its branches. Though the bough bends and creaks, it seems as though it will support your weight so long as you’re cautious. So you begin your assent, climbing from branch to branch and doing your best not to disturb the decorations that have begun to coat the tree. Ribbons, streamers, and patterned purple orbs hang from it. But what could be causing this?
The climb was remarkably easy, all things considered. Despite the Tree’s withering, the branches are more than able to carry your weight, and there always seems to be another within easy reach. A few minutes climbing brings you up near the tree’s top. The decorations on the branches are packed tightly up here, blocking out much of the light and filtering the remainder into wavy bands and lines that shift as the varying ornaments billow in the slow moving air. Update 1 - 07/19/16
The sinister feeling in the air is stronger up here, hanging in the air like a miasma. You look around you, searching for the source, and find your attention drawn to the strange bulbs. Their patterning seems somehow familiar to you, and as you watch they almost seem to pulsate before your eyes. You approach, and realize what those patterns mean: they’re the soft glow of a Primal Pokemon.
With a slight sucking noise, the bulb you approached pulls away from the branch it has latched onto. The Primal Voltorb turns towards you, hissing and baring its fangs. You prepare yourself for a fight, but hear similar noises from around you. Turning, you see the varying Primal Voltorbs detach from the tree, poison dripping from their fangs as they approach. Towards the top, there’s a louder sound as a massive bulb slowly pulls foot long fangs from the tree’s trunk. The Primal Electrode turns towards you with a roar. Looks like if you want the tree to make it to the festival’s end, you need to remove these Primal Pokemon!

Update 2 - 07/25/16
The Voltorb have retreated from the tree, rolling away as quick as they can from Wishing Tree's defenders.
It remains a mystery who put the dangerous orbs on the tree... Who could possibly wish ill for the Festival and Tree?

- Written submissions require a minimum of 300 words.
- Drawn submissions require a minimum 1 Sketch Fullbody.
- Any backgrounds included with sketched submissions receive rolls as though they were a Finished Art with a Simple Background.
- May be stacked with Objective 2
- Please Include the following with any submissions
- "I am completing the The Purple Wishing Tree Objective One!"
Main Objective #2
- Draw/Write about your pokemon battling the Primal Voltorbs and/or Electrode!
- Written submissions require a minimum of 1600 words.
- Drawn submissions require a minimum 4 Finished Fullbody, Colored with Semi-Detailed Background
- The Primal Pokemon's Battle Stats will be generated based on the attacking Pokemon's stat totals.
- May be stacked with Objective 1
